WHY YOUR INDIGENOUS IDENTITY MATTERS
Your genealogy shows that you are members of the Amikwa/Nipissing Nation of the Algonquin Nation
In order to assert section 35 rights of the Constitution Act 1982 you must identify with a Nation and that Nation is the Amikwa/Nipissing Nation. The territory is vast as it comprises all of Ontario and Quebec and beyond. For our purposes, we will limit ourselves to the province of Ontario.
As a nation collectively, you have the right to assert indigenous title rights to the land and resources as your Nation has never ceded nor surrendered the land and resources. You are non-treaty, non-status indigenous peoples, who have never surrendered your sovereignty and self-determination to the Crown. Consequently, the crown imposes everything on you and enforces their laws as if you have surrendered or been defeated.
